Analysis: Countryside pays $4.09 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Countryside Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.4 percent of the $1,217,077 the Countryside Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.09 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Countryside contributed $978,142 to the fund, which saw a $8,732 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $238,935, or 19.6 percent, in 2018.
