Analysis: La Grange pays $6.45 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lagrange Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 86.6 percent of the $1,717,124 the Lagrange Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $6.45 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, La Grange contributed $1,486,683 to the fund, which saw a $275,279 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $230,167, or 13.4 percent, in 2018. Another $274 came from other unspecified sources.
