A LaGrange restaurant that recently opened is struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Patch reports Milkstop, which opened in October, was seen a 70% drop since it shut down its dining rooms in March due to the statewide stay-at-home order. Once the dining room closed, the restaurant had to lay off many of its employees, including many members of its kitchen staff.
"We still have opening costs," Mary Spagnola told Patch. "We're trying very hard to make it work."
Even though it has received amazing customer support, Spagnola is worried the restaurant will not survive, the news agency reported.
"The fact of the matter, it's very hard," Spagnola said. "I'm not sure how it's going to last."
