July-Dec. 2019 Recap: Parolees near Illinois zip code 60153 convicted of crimes against justice

There were three offenders convicted of crimes against justice released on parole near Illinois zip code 60153 during the second half of 2019, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the West Cook News.

The data shows that three men were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against justice was 25. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced in 2018, and the oldest was a 26-year-old man sentenced in 2018.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Edward Jones. He was convicted of a crime against justice in 2018 when he was 25 years old. He is now 26.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
