City of Countryside issued the following announcement on April 17.
Countryside Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the Countryside Door Decorating Contest. The winning homeowner will receive a $50 CCC Gift Certificate. Residents can use their doors to thank our front line medical workers and first responders, show community pride or promote some other positive message or cause. However, to be considered for the contest, doors must include the phrase STAY HOME - SAVE LIVES or #countrysidestayshome.
Please use only materials you currently have in your home to reinforce the stay at home message. Residents with doors that do not face the street are welcome to decorate their front window instead. Snap a picture of your completed door/window artwork and send it to info@countrysidechamber.org and post on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram tagging Countryside of Commerce. Pictures must be received by Wednesday, April 22nd to be included in the project. The best-decorated door will be selected on Friday, April 24th.
