City of Northlake Youth Commission met Oct. 23.

MINUTES OF THE October 09, 2019 MEETING:
The minutes of the October 9, 2019 meeting were read. A motion was made by Veronica to accept the minutes. John seconded the motion. All were in favor.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. BOOFEST / HAUNTED TRAIL - 10/31/19 - We have a total of 4 possible volunteers for the trail. The plan is to upload the trucks Wednesday night and be at the trail at 9am that morning. We are setting up and getting pizza at 4:30. Volunteers will be there at 3pm to get their costumes ready. They will be getting in their position at 5:45pm to go from 6pm to 8pm. Cleaning up will begin right away after the last hay ride.
2. KIDS' Thanksgiving Craft Night - 11/13/19 - Veronica will be ordering the crafts for this event. We are meeting at 5pm prior to event at Sandy Vazquez
3. Winterfest - 12/7/19 - Table this until our next meeting,
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Search for new commissioner - We are looking to find a new member but will plan on starting the search in January, Mauricio's wife might be a possible candidate.
2. Budget- Budget for 2020 has been created. Mauricio sent request over to Carol Lampard.
There was no other business discussed. John moved for adjournment, seconded by Veronica. All were in favor, Youth Commission Chairperson, Sheila Morgan, adjourned the meeting at 6:18pm.
