CITY OF COUNTRYSIDE: ComEd Conversion Project on Plainfield Road

Roadwork

City of Countryside issued the following announcement on Nov. 21.

ComEd is currently working on a conversion project where two 4kV Feeders are being retired and a new 12kV Feeder is being installed. The portion of work that runs through Countryside is on Plainfield Road, and is a part of the new 12kV Circuit. The staking along Plainfield Road is a designation of the Road Right of Way where construction crews are planning to install new conduit via directional bore which will be used to run cable for the new 12kV Feeder. Cook County permits were issued by HBK Engineering on October 22nd, and are pending final approval. Once the permits are received, the directional boring portion of the work will begin. The tentative date for construction to start is December 2nd. The duration of the project will last approximately six weeks, however, this may be extended due to unforeseen weather or field conditions.
