Proviso Township Board met Sept. 3.

1) CALL TO ORDER
The Board of Town Trustees of the Town of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162 on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
2) ROLL CALL
Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m. and on a roll call the following responded: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell and Supervisor Corrigan. Also present were Clerk Williams, Assessor Zawaski, Attorney Durkin.
3) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.
4) APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Trustee Thomas moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on August 21, 2019.

Trustee Thomas moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez that the Board of Trustees approve the Closed Session Minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on August 21, 2019.

6) ATTORNEY’ REPORT
Received a request from Mr. Booker on an application for funding census, extending application until September 13, 2019.

A. Supervisor’s Report – Warrants approved. Assessor report provided. Letters of appreciation for Senior Services Day.
Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher that the Board approve the payments of G. A. Warrants.

B. Clerk’s Report – August birth and death totals provided.
C. Trustee’s Report – Trustee Thomas advised the board that the Complete Count Census will meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month. The next meeting is October 17, 2019, at Proviso Township, 4565 Harrison, Hillside, IL.
D. Elected Officials Report – None
E. Staff Report – Safe passage first went well. Broke up several fights.
9) NEW BUSINESS
A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action.
10) PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Carolyn Giacchetti, PO Box 6283, Aurora, IL 60598 – concerned about road repair. Representative of WGKC.
11) ADJOURNMENT
Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher that the Board of Trustees adjourns the meeting at 5:55 pm.
