City of Northlake issued the following announcement on Aug. 26.
On April 17, 2019, ground was broken for the construction of a new 223,700 square foot facility for the Custom Companies. They new facility is being developed by Centerpoint Properties. Park of the old Automatic Electric plant was demolished to make room for the new development. The 7UP/Dr. Pepper bottling plant occupies the remainder of the Automatic Electric plant which was recently extensively remodeled to increase efficiency for their operations.
Custom Companies is currently located in Northlake and the new building will allow the company to expand their operations and hire additional employees.
