Village of Brookfield Board of Fire and Police Commissioners met Aug. 7.

A. Approval of Minutes: Fire and Police Commissioners Regular Meeting, Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
VI. Old Business
A. Four Probationary Police Officers have been hired and are scheduled to attend Police Academy. Three Probationary Police Officers started police academy on May 20, 2019. The fourth Probationary Police Officer will start police academy on June 24, 2019.
B. The current Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic Primary Eligibility List has been exhausted.
C. The Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic Primary Eligibility List will be extended in the very near future, with the next 25 candidates to be granted an oral interview on June 17, 2019.
D. The July Board of Fire and Police Commissioners meeting is canceled due to the holiday.
VII. New Business
A. Probationary Police Officer David Kopec to be sworn in to Certified Regular Status at the August 26, 2019 Village Board Meeting.
B. Probationary Police Officer’s Curtis Duffek, Hassan Majthoub, and Freddy Vargas to be sworn in to
Probationary Status at the August 26, 2019 Village Board Meeting.
C. The last remaining Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic eligible candidate withdrew from the pre-employment testing process. The final Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic eligibility list will need to be extended. The next step is the structured oral interview.
D. Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic candidate structed oral interviews are schedule for August 22, 2019.
VIII. Executive Session - pursuant to Section 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific village employees
