City of Northlake Committee of the Whole met June 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Deputy Clerk Raida called for the roll.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT: ALDERMAN STRAUBE

ALDERMAN FELDMANN 

ALDERMAN CONTRERAS 

ALDERMAN GARCIA 

ALDERMAN JOHNSON 

ALDERMAN GROCHOWSKI 

ALDERMAN PATTI

ABSENT: ALDERMAN GONZALEZ

OTHERS PRESENT: DEBRA RAIDA , DEPUTY CITY CLERK

CAROL LAMPARD, FINANCE DIRECTOR 

NORM NISSEN, CHIEF OF POLICE 

MARK RAIL, PUBLIC WORKS

The committee reviewed the minutes of the May 20, 2019 meeting. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 20, 2019 meeting; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Commission Expenditures. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Commission Expenditures; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Under New Business:

Mayor Sherwin discussed Turner Constructionss request for additional parking at Centerpoint. Turner Construction needs more space. They will pay us another $2000.00 a month to take over the space. We will be able to utilize the space for Northlake Days Carnival. They will be using the space until the fall of 2020. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the request from Turner Construction; seconded by Alderman Contreras. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin stated that we did not receive any bids for the vacant lot at 564 Sandra. Therefore, we will change the listing on Zillow from accepting closed bids to up for sale.

Mayor Sherwin talked about the new software for City Hall. He would like to sign the tentative contract and move forward. This will be on the agenda for August.

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
