2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 60104?

There were 72 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 60104, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Cook News.

The data shows that 68 men and four women were released in the Bellwood zip code. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017, and the oldest was a 56-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ernest Russell. He was convicted of homicide in 1997, when he was 21 years old. He is now 43.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
