Q1 2018 Recap: Parolees in Broadview convicted of homicide

There were two offenders convicted of homicide released on parole in Broadview during the first quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the West Cook News.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in Broadview. The younger parolee was a 28-year-old man sentenced in 2010. The other was a 52-year-old woman sentenced in 1995.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Margaret Majos. She was convicted of homicide in 1995 when she was 28 years old. She is now 52.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q1 2018 who were convicted of homicide.
