City of Northlake City Council met May 20.

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Sherwin asked everyone to stand for the pledge of allegiance.
Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.
ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: ALDERMEN STRAUBE, FELDMANN, CONTRERAS, GARCIA, JOHNSON, GONZALEZ, GROCHOWSKI AND PATTI
OTHERS PRESENT: NANCY PAULETTO, CITY CLERK

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the regular meeting held on May 6, 2019. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held on May 6, 2019; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE MAY 6, 2019 CITY COUNCIL MEETING CARRIED
Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the warrants and vouchers if and when the funds become available; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

NAYS: NONE
MOTION TO PAY THE WARRANTS AND VOUCHERS CARRIED
Mayor Sherwin mentioned that June 10 is the next City Council meeting and the start of the summer schedule; June 7 is the dedication of the Trinity building on Wolf Road; and June 14 is the West Central Municipal Conference dinner at which the City of Northlake will receive the “Greentelligence Award”.
Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Ordinance O-09-2019; An Ordinance Establishing Water Service Rates and Amending Section 7-7A-5-1A of the Northlake City Code; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

NAYS: NONE
MOTION TO APPROVE ORDINANCE O-09-2019; AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING WATER SERVICE RATES AND AMENDING SECTION 7-7A-5-1A OF THE NORTHLAKE CITY CODE CARRIED
Alderman Patti made a motion to approve A Raffle License for the City of Northlake to sell tickets for the 2019 Car Raffle; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

NAYS: NONE
MOTION TO APPROVE A RAFFLE LICENSE FOR THE CITY OF NORTHLAKE TO SELL TICKETS FOR THE 2019 CAR RAFFLE CARRIED
A resident had an inquiry about the water service rates.
There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
