Q1 2018 parolees recap: who was paroled in Oak Park?

There were five offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Oak Park zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Cook News.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Oak Park were men. The median age of the parolees was 29. The youngest parolee is a 19-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest is a 37-year-old man sentenced for financial crimes or fraud in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Ravon Terrell. He was convicted of financial crimes or fraud in 2016 when he was 34 years old. He is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in the first quarter.
