Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on May 23.
West Suburban Montessori School elementary children performed Joseph Francavilla’s The Journey Home: A Children’s Opera on Friday, May 17th to a sold-out audience of family and friends. The children worked dililgently throughout the spring with Francavilla and choreographer/costume designer Amy Williams “Opera Week has become a valuable WSMS tradition over the last three years. The children’s enthusiasm and focus, along with Joe and Amy’s talent and patience, bring the program to life,” said Head of School Patty Eggerding
For over 30 years, hundreds of families have chosen to become a part of the vibrant WSMS community. The school serves children ages 3 to 12. WSMS is accredited by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), which was created by Maria Montessori in 1929 to preserve the integrity and standards of her work with children.
