Countryside home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Countryside rose by $32,500 while total sales increased by 7.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 90 homes sold, with a median sale price of $216,500 - a 17.7% increase over the $184,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 84 homes sold in Countryside in 2016.

The median sales tax in Countryside for 2017 was $4,188. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,055. This marks an increase of 3.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
