Brookfield home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Brookfield rose by $4,500 while total sales increased by 0.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 335 homes sold, with a median sale price of $230,000 - a 2% increase over the $225,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 332 homes sold in Brookfield in 2016.

The median sales tax in Brookfield for 2017 was $5,653. In 2016, the median sales tax was $5,290. This marks an increase of 6.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.5%.
