La Grange Highlands home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in La Grange Highlands rose by $7,500 while total sales decreased by 8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 46 homes sold, with a median sale price of $320,000 - a 2.4% increase over the $312,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 50 homes sold in La Grange Highlands in 2016.

The median sales tax in La Grange Highlands for 2017 was $5,760. In 2016, the median sales tax was $5,151. This marks an increase of 11.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
