Western Springs home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Western Springs rose by $20,000 while total sales decreased by 11%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 227 homes sold, with a median sale price of $530,000 - a 3.9% increase over the $510,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 255 homes sold in Western Springs in 2016.

The median sales tax in Western Springs for 2017 was $10,034. In 2016, the median sales tax was $9,089. This marks an increase of 10.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
