La Grange Highlands home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in La Grange Highlands rose by $52,250 while total sales decreased by 26.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 22 homes sold, with a median sale price of $342,750 - a 18% increase over the $290,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 30 homes sold in La Grange Highlands in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in La Grange Highlands for 2017 was $5,760. In 2016, the median sales tax was $5,151. This marks an increase of 11.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
