Franklin Park home prices fall in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Franklin Park fell by $5,750 while total sales increased by 9.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were 59 homes sold, with a median sale price of $150,000 - a 3.7% decrease over the $155,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 54 homes sold in Franklin Park in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Franklin Park for 2017 was $5,218.86. In 2016, the median sales tax was $5,330. This marks an decrease of 2.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.5%.
