Massage

Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 29.

Palmgren Acupuncture has hired two new licensed massage therapists to join their growing practice. Evie Rosado, LMT and Katie McDonnell, LMT joined the practice this month. They were hired to provide the clinic’s clientele with more services than simply acupuncture.

Ms. Rosado graduated from the Soma Institute in Chicago and has been a licensed massage therapist since 2013. She has specialized training in trigger point therapy, Swedish/relaxation massage, deep tissue/sports massage, fascial release techniques, and Lymph drainage techniques. She enjoys working with clients and helping them on their path to a healthier life. Ms. Rosado said, “My approach to working with clients is listening, observing and planning. From the moment I see my client I’m assessing them. The key is listening to the clients’ needs.” She said she customizes each session to fit those needs.

Ms. McDonnell is a recent graduate from the New School for Massage Bodywork and Healing in Chicago. She has experience working in a spa as well as clinical settings. Her specialties are myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue/sports massage, and Swedish/relaxation massage. Ms. McDonnell said, “I like to make sure my clients are comfortable communicating their needs to me. I do this by being open, welcoming and listening without judgement. That hour or so that I have my client it's all about them.”

Ms. Rosado is in the clinic on Fridays 9 am to 3 pm and Saturdays 1:30 to 6 pm while Ms. McDonnell is in on Fridays 5 to 8 pm and Saturdays 2 to 6 pm. Both practitioners’ schedules are available to view online and can be booked using the online scheduler at www.palmgrenacu.com/book-now/.

The owners at Palmgren Acupuncture are excited to have Ms. Rosado and Ms. McDonnell join their team. Lynn Palmgren, co-owner of Palmgren Acupuncture said, “Both therapists bring a passion and talent for helping people and really loving what they do. It shows.”
