The campaign committee of committeewoman candidate Karen Yarbrough, Citizens to Elect Karen Yarbrough, returned a $250 contribution from Amalgamated Bank of Chicago on Oct. 13, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Amalgamated Bank of Chicago has not made any other contributions to Karen Yarbrough in the past 12 months.
