Cicero town president candidate Lizveth Mendez returns $1,000 contribution from Florentina Rico

The campaign committee of Cicero town president candidate Lizveth Mendez, Lizveth for Cicero Town President, returned a $1,000 contribution from Florentina Rico on Jan. 13, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Rico has not made any other contributions to Lizveth Mendez in the past 12 months.
