Unpaid fines for Cicero-based campaign committees totaled $17,600 in August 2018

Campaign committees in Cicero collectively owe a total of $17,600 in fines, according to records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that three committees in Cicero were delinquent in payment for August 2018.

The Cicero-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Lizveth for Cicero Town President, which owes a total of $12,250.

The committee has been fined repeatedly for a late quarterly report.
