Western Suburban Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 6.
Do not let your small pet outside unattended, especially from sunset to sunrise. A coyote can learn your “go outside” routine, and will be waiting for your pet. Also, a fence will not necessarily keep a coyote out of your backyard.
