The committee reviewed the minutes of the November 19, 2018 meeting. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 19, 2018 meeting; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.
Mayor Sherwin presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Questions were asked and answered respectively. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Under New Business:
Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion about the City of Northlake Financial Statement December 31, 2017. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-25-2018, An Ordinance Adopting the Annual Budget for Calendar Year 2019 for the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. Alderman Grochowski abstained. The motion carried.
Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-26-2018, An Ordinance for the Levy and Assessment of 2018 Taxes Paid in the Year Beginning January 1, 2019 and Ending December 31, 2019 for the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. Alderman Grochowski abstained. The motion carried.
Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion about Additional Pension Contributions. Different scenarios were presented. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to make a one-time $3 million contribution; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve the Contract with Turner Construction regarding Parking at Centerpoint. The proposed Lease was reviewed. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
