CITY OF NORTHLAKE: Unlocked Vehicles Parked in Residential Driveways

By Press release submission | Dec 7, 2018

Lockcar

City of Northlake issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.

We have recently experienced an increase of incidents where unlocked vehicles parked in residential driveways have been entered and rummaged through to find items of value (primarily coins). Most, but not all, of these incidents have occurred in the late evening or early morning hours. It is important that you lock your vehicles at all times when parked at your residence. The police department is actively investigating these incidents. In the meantime, if you see any suspicious subjects in your yard or driveway, call the police immediately.
