WESTERN SUBURBAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Tomorrow is Children's Grief Awareness Day

Chldrngriefaware

Western Suburban Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 15.

Wear blue to show your support for children and families who are grieving the death of someone significant in their lives.

Looking for another way to share your support? Come to Brookfield Zoo this Saturday, November 17, 10:30 am-11:30 to help our Buddy's Place childhood bereavement program decorate a community tree, in memory of loved ones. Our tree will be #165, located on the East Mall.

The whole community will be welcome to post memorial ornaments to our community tree in Western Springs, anytime after 5 pm on November 29. Look for the Buddy's Place tree which will have blue LED lights. Please do not hang glass ornaments, very small ornaments, or ornaments containing sharp objects. The trees will remain up until the last week of December.
