Village of Brookfield Board of Fire and Police Commissioners met Nov. 7.

A. Approval of Minutes: Fire and Police Commissioners Regular Meeting, Wednesday, October 3, 2018.

VI. Old Business

A. Entry Level Police Officer primary eligibility list extension was exhausted.

B. Oral interviews for Entry Level Police Officers were conducted on September 19, 2018 to further extend the primary eligibility list.

C. Eight Entry Level Police Officer candidates interviewed, five candidates successfully completed the oral interview.

D. Letters of interest were sent to the top three successful Entry Level Police Officer candidates to begin the pre-employment testing process.

E. Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic hiring is still in process.

VII. New Business

A. Pre-employment testing has begun on three Entry Level Police Officer candidates.

B. Pre-employment testing is in progress on an Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic candidate.

C. Probationary Firefighter/Paramedic Erik Porter has successfully completed his probationary period of one year.

D. Probationary Firefighter/Paramedic Erik Porter will be sworn in to Certified Status at the November 12, 2018 village board meeting.

VIII. Executive Session - pursuant to Section 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific village employees

IX. Next Meeting: December 5, 2018 at 6:00 pm
