State House race: Democrat Morgan wins voter tally in Cook County

Bob Morgan led Republican Fredric Bryan Lesser in votes cast in Cook County for the District 58 state House race, according to the latest vote count.

Morgan appeared to outpace Lesser by a margin of 44.7 percent on Tuesday in the county.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Democrat Scott Drury, won by a margin of 31 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Republican Mark Neerhof, who received 1,109 votes to Drury's 2,105.
