City of Northlake issued the following announcement on Oct. 15.
Avoid face covering masks which make it
hard for children to see. Use face paint instead.
Be sure your child’s costumer is flame retardant
and warn him/her to avoid open flames.
Be sure the child’s costume is visible at night.
Be sure to have the child carry a flashlight or glow
stick at all times.
Have the children cross the street at intersections
where it is well lit.
Tell your children not to eat any candy until you
can check it for tampering.
Remind children to never enter a stranger’s home.
Stay outside the door.
Have someone carry a cell phone and to call 911
in case of emergency.
Have a safe and happy Halloween.
