Central Stickney School District 110 students suspended 23 times in a single school year

Central Stickney School District 110 reported 23 suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 23 students during the year. That equates to 5.7 percent of the 402 students enrolled.

Of the 22 in-school suspensions, 11 were given to boys and 11 were given to girls, all of whom were elementary or middle schoolers.

The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 22 incidents. For 10 incidents, students were suspended for 1-3 days.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes one incidents. For one incidents, students were suspended for 3-5 days.
