Purpose Of Hearing:
To discuss the merger of the Hillside Plan Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals, and any other possible changes to the Zoning Board that may arise.
Mayor Tamburino explained the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Plan Commission dating back to 1980. He also explained currently, there is very little activity for the Plan Commission except for map changes and there have only been three map changes in the last thirty years. Mayor Tamburino also said this is a good time to merge the groups because there is only one person on the Plan Commission and a vacancy on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Trustee Kramer asked if Zoning Board of Appeals would then hear Plan Commision items. Mayor Tamburino said yes, this would be an added responsibility for the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Administrator Wajda said it is difficult to recruit people to a Commission that has not met is a long time.
As there was no further discussion before the Board, Mayor Tamburino entertained a motion to adjourn to the Public Hearing.
So moved by Trustee Andersen, seconded by Trustee Delgado. All voting aye, motion carried.
Adjournment 7:35 p.m.
