Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Present:Angelo Calcagno, Sherby Miller, Thomas Yurkovich, Nick Steker, Frank Perry, Paul Gattuso, Carl Celestino, Greg Hribal Also Present:Present Greg Hribal, David Plyman, Robert Lewis, Melissa Headley, Chief Jim Adams, Chief Steven Stelter.

5) Public Comments and Questions

Tracy Markie requested information on the agenda regarding dispatch services.

Trustee Perry requested further information on why all three vendors are on the agenda for this vote.

Sam Pulia spoke regarding the dispatch issue regarding the history of previous discussions with Hillside and Broadview over the past years. He also expressed his satisfaction with Norcomm and their service throughout his time previously on the board.

Mike Tilman came up to speak regarding the alternative proposal that was emailed on Monday to the board directly.

Donald Nielsen from Norcomm came up to speak regarding the management team that has been developed and how their center has learned over time.

Joe Beckwith from Hillside police came up to explain their dispatch center.

Anqua Minshore owns the property at 927-957 Mannheim and has issues with the current state of the alley and is requesting assistance from the village.

Krista Brazel requested information on tree planting, regarding a neighbors tree encroaching on her property.

Barb Walsh 1951 Manchester came up requesting that businesses that have been closed down must be ordered to remove signage.

8) Manager’s Report

Village Manager Plyman advised he will be on vacation beginning next Monday.

9) Attorney’s Report

Attorney Durkin advised that the small cell facilities act requires municipalities to implement local regulations. These items will be brought forward at a future meeting and approved by August 1, 2018.

10) Board Member Reports and New Business

Trustee Steker would like to bring forward a presentation and recognition to the board a gold medal winner of the U.S. sled hockey team at a future meeting.

Trustee Steker would like to propose naming a portion of Canterbury for the parents of State House Minority Leader Jim Durkin.
