City of Northlake City Council met April 16.

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. Mayor Sherwin asked everyone to stand for the pledge of allegiance. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the regular meeting held on April 2, 2018. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held April 2, 2018; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. Alderman Gonzalez abstained.

Motion to Pay the Warrants and
Vouchers Carried
The Mayor noted School District 83 is expanding Roy School and purchased several homes next to the school. Public Works will be compensated for performing the demolition. All windows from these properties have been donated and will be picked up by Habitat for Humanity. Also, new videotaped messages from the Mayor will be on the website and Facebook regarding new businesses and areas under construction.
Mayor Sherwin presented Resolution R-07-2018; a Resolution Approving the Conveyance of Certain Property to the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (North End of Garnet Drive, North of Grand Avenue). Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Resolution R-07-2018; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Mayor Sherwin presented a motion to refer Grievance Report 18-2 to the Hearing Officer. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the referral; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-08-2018; an Ordinance Amending Title 3, Chapter 4, Article C of the Northlake City Code Concerning the Regulation of Raffles. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Ordinance O-08-2018; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.
