Analysis: Countryside pays $4.87 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Countryside Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83 percent of the $1,102,079 the Countryside Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.87 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Countryside contributed $914,574 to the fund, which saw a $3,027 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $187,505, or 17 percent, in 2016.
