City of Northlake Council met March 19.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

Roll Call:

Present: Alderman Straube, Feldmann, Padilla, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Contreras

Others Present: Carol Lampard, Finance Director

Nancy Pauletto, City Clerk

Mark Sterk, Attorney

Norm Nissen, Chief Of Police

Dale Roberts, Superintendent Public Works

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the regular meeting held on March 5, 2018. Alderman

Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held March 5, 2018; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.

City Council Meeting Carried

Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the warrants and vouchers if and when the funds become available; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Absent: Alderman Contreras

Nays: None

Motion To Pay The Warrants And

Vouchers Carried

The Mayor noted the Community Center would be closed for 2 weeks starting Wed. March 21 for much needed restorations; the work on the creek has begun again for the spring season; bids are now open for the road construction project; the Wolf Road water main preconstruction meeting will be held Wednesday; and local resident, Brody Roybal, won the Paralympic Gold Medal in hockey and is returning home this week.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Resolution R-06-2018; seconded by Alderman Gonzalez. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Absent: Alderman Contreras

Nays: None

Motion To Approve Resolution R-06-2018; A Resolution Indicating Municipal Support And Consent To The Filing Of An Application By Bridge Development Partners LLC For A Class 6b Incentive Classification For The Property Located At 555 Northwest Avenue, Northlake, Cook County, Illinois Carried

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve a Raffle License to sell tickets for 2018 Car Raffle for the City of Northlake; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Ordinance O-05-2018; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. This Ordinance is being required by the Assessor’s Office. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Motion To Approve Ordinance O-05-2018; An Ordinance Vacating A Portion Of Sandra Avenue In The City Of Northlake, Illinois Carried

A resident, Bob, had questions regarding 206 44th Avenue about critters living in the garage and some homes on 43rd Avenue about overflowing garbage issues.

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
