City of Northlake City Council met March 5.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Sherwin asked everyone to stand for the pledge of allegiance. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call:

Present: Alderman Straube, Feldmann, Contreras Padilla, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Others Present: Carol Lampard, Finance Director Nancy Pauletto, City Clerk Mark Sterk, Attorney Norm Nissen, Chief Of Police Dale Roberts, Superintendent Public Works

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the regular meeting held on February 12, 2018. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held February 12, 2018; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. A correction in the minutes was noted. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. Alderman Grochowski abstained.

Alderman Grochowski made a motion to pay the warrants and vouchers if and when the funds become available; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call: Alderman Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Padilla, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Nays: None

Motion To Pay The Warrants And Vouchers Carried

The Mayor wished everyone a Happy Pulaski Day.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Ordinance O-04-2018; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Nays: None

Motion To Approve Ordinance O-04-2018; An Ordinance Establishing The Number Of Liquor Licenses And Amending Section 3-3-4-6 Of The City Code Of The City Of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois Carried

Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve the proposal from Mesirow; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Nays: None

Motion To Approve The Proposal For General Liability/Auto/Property Insurance From Mesirow Carried

Alderman Patti made a motion to refer grievance #18-1 to the hearing officer; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Nays: None

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the purchase and installation of new street signs; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the Railroad Avenue dedication; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the Sandra Avenue Plat of Dedication/Vacation; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Nays: None

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Resolution R-05-2018; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Motion To Approve Resolution R-05-2018; A Resolution Approving An Agreement With Ic&Sc Regarding Bus Shelter In The City Of Northlake Carried

George Hainault asked a question to clarify the amended liquor license ordinance.

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
