Liquor License Application – Class “A”:

Owners Nick and Hillary Teague described their background with beverage and food in Wisconsin. He introduced their brew master on the project, Mark Duchow. They submitted all materials and revised forms for Dynamite Brewing, LLC doing business as Short Fuse Brewing at 5000 – 5040 River Road. Chairman Fritz noted that a few questions on the application form were blank. The Teague’s provided answers during the meeting. They confirmed possession of a federal liquor manufacturing license. The State Liquor Control Commission is waiting for the Village to act before issuing the State license. Chairman Fritz referred to a newspaper article about the brewery that stated beer would be delivered to customers with food orders. He said none of the Village license classes allow for this exclusive service. There is a Class “C” license which allows a caterer to deliver if they also serve customers. He noted an exception in State Law that allows orders over the internet with delivery.

The Teague’s described interior project progress, a Facebook page and other advertising already underway. They are working with Schiller Park code inspectors for building and fire safety.

Motion by Gorzynski and second by Diaz to recommend to the Village Board an increase in Class “A” licenses by one.

Adjournment:

The meeting was adjourned at 6:32 p.m.
