The calls in Oak Park included 139 fires - 69 structure fires, 20 vehicle fires and 40 other fires. The fire department also responded to 10 calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $750,714 in fire loss - or about $5,401 per fire.
The department also received 535 false calls, including 20 malicious calls and 515 other false calls.
Three fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents and four were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Oak Park Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 61 active employees and 115 retired or inactive employees, was $5,612,730 in debt as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $40,379 for every fire in 2016.
