The calls in Broadview included 82 fires - 40 structure fires, 15 vehicle fires and 23 other fires. The fire department also responded to four calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $185,000 in fire loss - or about $2,256 per fire.
The department also received 337 false calls, including six malicious calls and 331 other false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury.
The Broadview Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 25 active employees and 44 retired or inactive employees, was $2,597,650 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $31,679 for every fire in 2016.
