Village of Lyons Fire and Police Commission met July 20.

a. Action 07-20-17-A1 approval of request for oral board members motion that the board ask the village manager and his designee, two village trustees and the police chief and his designee to assist with the oral board

6. Public Comment
None.
7. Report & Comments
Chief Keating submitted to the board names from the Village of Lyons Police Department for consideration for the oral boards. Also Chief Keating recommended that the commission take action on approving a company that handles background checks for potential candidates. The police chief advised the commission that two weeks after receiving the test score the commission should set a date for conducting interviews. The estimated time for conducting the oral boards could be the week of August 13th, 2017.
