City of Northlake Finance & Rules Committee of the Whole met April 3.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

The committee reviewed the minutes of the March 20, 2017 meeting. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the minutes of the March 20, 2017 meeting; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.

Mayor Sherwin presented Expenditure Over One Thousand Dollars. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the Expenditures Over One Thousand Dollars; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Questions were asked and answered respectively. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Commission Expenditures. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the Commission Expenditures; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-07-2017; An Ordinance Establishing Water Service Rates and Amending Section 7-7A-5-1A of the Northlake City Code. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Ordinance O-07-2017; seconded by Alderman Werba. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin talked about updating the video on our website. We have two proposals. One will be for updating our website and the other for video pods that will be for social media use. This will be 2 stories a month with a video clip. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the video proposals from Dobson; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried

Alderman Straube made a motion to go into Executive Session at 6:40 p.m.; seconded by Alderman Gonzalez. Mayor Sherwin called for voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

The meeting reconvened at 6:51 p.m.

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Werba. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
