The Hillside Village Board approved a $60,000 reimbursement to Newcastle Properties LLC at a recent meeting.

The reimbursement includes $25,000 for environmental cleanup.

The board also approved a $15,810 contract renewal with Climatemp Service Group for a 2016 preventive maintenance agreement, a $365 boost from the 2015 contract.

The board also authorized $167.32 for Fire Chief Jeffrey Pilz's meals while he attends New Chief National Fire Academy in Washington, D.C. (other costs for the training trip will be reimbursed by FEMA), as well as $2,030 in program costs for Pilz to attend Staff and Command School in Maryland.
