Cook County 911 board mulls expansion plan for communications center

The Cook County Emergency Telephone System Board discussed the future of the Communications Center at a recent meeting in Des Plaines.

The board was expected to focus primarily on an expansion plan for the center, as well as satisfying Illinois Commerce Commission mandates.

The board also was expected to discuss legislative issues affecting emergency communications.

The board's next meeting will be 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, at the Cook County 911 Center,

9511 Harrison St. in Des Plaines.
