Ridgewood Drive Storm Water Improvements:

Staff has been working with Baxter and Woodman for various storm water improvements. Baxter and Woodman prepared outfall routing and storm sewer alignment alternatives. The committee asked for clarification on the recommended alternative. Staff will follow up on why the recommended alternative was selected.

Chair Trustee Fink moves to bring the Ridgewood Subdivision Storm Sewer Outfall – Outfall Routing and Storm Sewer Alignments to the Board for discussion on alternatives 5 and 7. Seconded by Trustee Avakian.

Water Conservation Ordinance

The Village has been closely monitoring the Illinois Drought Monitor. Staff is considering emergency water restrictions to match the water conservation ordinances of neighboring communities until the region is no longer experiencing drought-like conditions. This will include a timeframe from May 1 to October 1 with restricted hours from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Water use during unrestricted hours is allowed on even numbered days for residents with even numbered addresses, and odd numbered das for residents with odd numbered addresses. Starting 2024, staff is considering enforcement of a new water conservation ordinance mirroring neighboring communities. This would include a verbal warning followed by a ticket in an amount determined by the Board. These restrictions would also align with the Village’s strategic plan for green initiatives.

Manager Baer will report on watering restrictions to the Village Board.

Other:

None.

Capital Infrastructure Plan Update:

Baxter and Woodman presented their 60% completion at the Infrastructure Commission and will present this to the Board on Monday.
