Village of Schiller Park Committee of the Whole met June 2.

CALL TO ORDER:

President Nick Caiafa called the meeting to order at 6:05 P.M.

ROLL CALL:

Upon roll call by Village Clerk Jos, the following Elected Officials were:

Present: President Nick Caiafa, Trustees: Marie Lukowski, Russell Klug, Joan Golembiewski, Tom Deegan, Robert Lima, Terri Sheridan, and Village Clerk Rosa Jos

Absent: None

Trustee Golembiewski moved, seconded by Trustee Lukowski to approve Trustee Lima to participate by electronic means.

Upon roll call the following voted:

Ayes: Trustees: Lukowski, Klug, Golembiewski, Deegan, Lima, and Sheridan

Absent: None

Nay: None

President Caiafa declared the motion carried.

Clerk Jos declared a quorum present.

Also present: Corporate Counsel Joe Montana, Village Manager Brett Kryska, Assistant Village Manager Brian Bursiek

III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

1. Trustee Golembiewski moved, seconded by Trustee Klug that the MINUTES of the Committee of the Whole Meeting of May 19, 2022 be approved.

Upon roll call the following voted:

Ayes: Trustees: Lukowski, Klug, Golembiewski, Deegan, Lima, and Sheridan

Absent: None

Nay: None

President Caiafa declared the motion carried.

IV. PERSONS WISHING TO BE HEARD:

V. BUSINESS:

1. Mayor Caiafa gave a few updates on development matters.

2. a. There was a discussion regarding the recent staff departures at Community Development. Brett Kryska updated the Board on plans for this department and his recommendation for each vacant position. Mayor Caiafa stated that it is beneficial for the Village to outsource permit processing as an alternative to hiring Building Official.

b. Also discussed was the efficiency of daily operations from other departments,

c. The Village Hall office is temporarily relocating to 4501 N 25th building on the first week of July due to the renovation of the VH front office. Mayor Caiafa stated that he would like to have trees planted just north of Lawrence Ave to continue the beautification along River Road.

With no further business to conduct, it was moved by Trustee Lima, seconded by Trustee Sheridan, that the Committee of the Whole Meeting be adjourned.

Absent: None

Nay: None

President Caiafa declared the motion carried and this Committee of the Whole Meeting was adjourned at 6:57 P.M.
