Village of Forest Park Village Council met Sept. 5.

Mayor Hoskins led all assembled in the Pledge of Allegiance at 11:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL
Commissioners Maxham, Nero, Melin-Rogovin, Voogd and Mayor Hoskins answered the Roll Call.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Mr. Steven Backman commented that he did not believe the notice for this meeting was posted in a timely manner, according to the Open Meetings Act of Illinois, adding that he checked at 9:45 p.m. on Sunday on the village’s website and was unable to locate the notice at that time.
Dr. Tanya Friese submitted public comment via email in support of appointing Rachell Entler as Interim Village Administrator.
It was moved by Commissioner Nero and seconded by Commissioner Maxham to recess into closed session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) to consider the employment, appointment, compensation, discipline or termination of specific employees of the public body
RECESS INTO CLOSED SESSION AT 11:11 A.M.

ABSENT: None
The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Commissioner Nero and seconded by Commissioner Maxham to reconvene into open session.
RECONVENE OPEN SESSION AT 12:19 P.M.

ABSENT: None
The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Commissioner Maxham and seconded by Commissioner Nero that the Resolution appointing Rachell Entler as Interim Village Administrator and approving and authorizing the execution of an Interim Village Administrator Employment Agreement for the Village of Forest Park be adopted.
R-76-23 RACHELL ENTLER APPOINTED INTERIM VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR APPROVED

The motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Hoskins administered the oath of office to newly appointed Interim Village Administrator, Rachell Entler.
OATH OF OFFICE ADMINISTERED
Administrator Entler expressed her gratitude to the Village Council, her colleagues and especially her family for their support and stated she is looking forward to getting to work.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to be addressed, Commissioner Nero moved and Commissioner Maxham seconded to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Hoskins declared the meeting adjourned at 12:23 P.M.
